Political Reporter based in Canberra for the Special Broadcasting Service.

👋G’day!

I’m a 27-year-old journalist with over eight years of media industry experience.

I love telling visual stories, a passion that’s been nourished for almost two decades. The spark was lit when I first stole my parent’s digital camera for a Year 4 school assignment. By the time it got back to them, it was falling apart; I’d used it to snap anything and everything.

I didn’t know it, but from a young age I was developing the skills, craft and love for visual storytelling. Once I realised that a career in the media was a possibility, it seemed inevitable. The question was would I be behind the camera, or in front? In the end, I decided to chase the latter.

My first media gig was working out of a bedroom with a cheap microphone and a Soundbooth made of foam and cardboard. Now I’m a political correspondent for SBS World News, covering national affairs from Canberra.

I’ve had the opportunity to report stories across Australia, filing from as far as Menindee in Far West New South Wales, to Honiara in Solomon Islands. I’m born and bred in Brisbane, and cut my teeth in Sydney and the Canberra Press Gallery.
